The TripletsWe have been extremely busy on the farm taking care of these three little ones. Marie's babies are growing so fast I can't keep up with them. We have Danielle who reminds me the most of Marie. She loves affection and is not shy about it. If you stop petting her, she instantly bumps you like "why did you stop"? This is something her mom did to me as well. Then we have Dominique who looks similar to Dani. Dom is very active and loves running and jumping on anything and anyone. She is very independent and doesn't mind taking naps alone. She is also our nibbler. She tries to nibble on anything near including her sister's ears. Lastly we have Clarice, she is the one that looks like daddy, Beaux. She is very loving and does not like to be left alone. If you take the twins out first, you can hear her screaming bloody murder in the background. They all are so adorable and have all us wrapped around their hooves whether we want to admit it or not. Even GrumpyGoat has developed a soft spot for these three.

Our MarieMarie was the first baby born on the farm and everyone grew extremely attached to her. Even me, KittyGoat, developed a specific bond with her in the short time I got to know her. She was a loving goat with an attitude to go with it. She recently had triplet baby girls, Danielle, Dominique, and Clarice. Unfortunately, all three babies were born breached. Even though Marie did an amazing job delivering, the next day she unexpectedly passed. We do not know for certain what happened but believe she had internal bleeding that we did not know about. Everyone on the farm is having a difficult time during this transition. She is also the first goat to pass after delivering her babies. This has been a learning experience for all. We are currently bottle feeding the babies and learning how to be their "mom". Prayers and good vibes for Goat Lady during this very difficult time. She has done an amazing job keeping up with these three little "kids".
Beaux beaux the BossBeaux beaux is almost 8 and has been on the farm since he was 3 months old. Being the only male on the farm for a while has taught him how to romance the ladies. He sings sweet tunes in their ears, kisses them, snuggles, and shares his hay. He is the dominant "boss" male on the farm. He likes to keep anyone acting out in check. Otherwise, he is pretty laid back and doesn't get in the way when I'm cleaning the barn. I enjoy it when he purposely comes to me for petting. He usually keeps to himself unless he has his "boss" job to handle up on.
Teen Bleaux BleauxBeing only 4 years old, Bleaux is our hormonal teenager. As soon as he spots one of the girls, he has to make sure they can hear his beautiful raspberries loud and clear. Like most of the goats on the farm he likes to snuggle. He has some pretty blue eyes that he tends to pass down to his kids, like Rosemary. He tends to stay under my feet while I'm doing the barn chores. Beaux will quickly put him in his place for me so I can feed them faster. The girls on the farm know that Bleaux likes attention and will purposely go by the male cage and drive the boys crazy.
Snugly RosemaryHere is one of our growing babies, Rosemary. She is 8 months old and her parents were Ivy and Bleaux. She gets her witty, smart behavior from mom and her beautiful blue eyes come from dad. She is becoming close friends with Dior as they grow older together. They are becoming quiet the snugly pair. But Rosemary will always be the one that gives the best hugs. Like most goats, she does not know about personal space and will climb up throwing her hooves around you for an amazing goat hug. She is one of the most liked goats on the farm. She does great with kids and loves LOVE.
Two Goats in a TripA gathering of goats is officially called a 'trip.' Trip here means to skip and hop, like goats usually do. Here is Chanelle (white and brown) and Dior (brown). Chanelle is Dior's mom. I decided to do these two together, because where there is one, there is the other. You can usually find them in the same stall together fighting over a spot to eat. Channelle is the daughter of Marie. She is very laid back and shy. She does not like to be pet much either. Dior on the other hand loves some attention. She is considered a "pet" goat due to being born three weeks premature. She will never be able to be bred. She may be small but she is a star on the farm. She is finally growing into her sparky personality. Goat Lady has a special place in her heart for these two.
Pepe the Havoc HelperHere we "goat" again with our ever growing Pepe. He is now 2 months old. As he is learning to goat, he is also learning how to get into more and more trouble. In the pictures he thinks he is helping with the shavings. He kind of is ;) I have to spread it on the barn floor in the winter to help keep the goats warm. Him climbing on it and knocking some out gives me just a little less work. He is also starting to head butt making it difficult to get through work, unless he is in the helping mood, of course. He will soon be joining the big boys in their pin and I will not have my little havoc helper.
Mama to be, MarieThis is Marie. She was one of the first babies born on the farm. It was love at first sight. She is now 10 years old and is known as one of the alpha goats. This means that she thinks she is helping by keeping the other goats in line. She lets them know where they can and cannot go. She also lets them know that she is the only one deserving of cuddles and love. She is currently pregnant and due any day now. All of us on the farm are excited to see the new baby or babies.
